Ohio football fans may be interested to learn that Jeremy Lane, a cornerback for the Seattle Seahawks, was facing charges for driving under the influence on Jan. 14. The player was taken into custody in Washington state after he blew what he said was a .03 percent on a Breathalyzer test.

Ohio should lower its drunk driving threshold, according to a report by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine. The report, which was commissioned by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, recommends lowering the legal blood alcohol content limit nationwide.

Former "Jackass" star charged with DUI

Ohio residents may remember Bam Margera from his time on the television show "Jackass". On Jan. 7, Margera was charged with DUI after a traffic stop in California. Authorities say that he was pulled over after driving by an officer conducting another traffic stop. When he passed by, the officer noticed that he was talking on his cell phone and was asked to stop.

Man charged with drunk driving and bribery

At about 4 p.m. on Jan. 2, a 65-year-old man rear-ended a Jeep with his vehicle while on the 5th Avenue eastbound service road in Youngstown. Police said that the Jeep was stopped at a red light at the time of the accident. When an officer made contact with the man, he was reportedly slurring his speech and had trouble walking and standing. There was also a strong smell of alcohol coming from the individual.
